I’d have to agree that the board under the front suspension looks a little unstable like that. I’m not a fan of things that can slide off either the stand or the car if the car shakes or shifts a little. I prefer to put the cradle at the top of the jack stand under a part of the car that sits stably in the cradle, and then put something soft like a folded rag or a work glove between them as a cushion.
