Bisimoto Pulse Chamber Install Update & SW Chip Question

Hi all,

The first thing I bought for my Carrera was a Bisimoto Pulse Chamber muffler with sound arrestor. I did a lot of research as to which muffler I wanted and settled with the Bisimoto.

Wanted to give updates to the forum since most of the threads I've read were at least 2-3 years old.

I contacted Bisi personally specifically asking about the fitment since a lot of the early models I believe required an extension to fit without cutting into the valance. Bisi responded the same day that the issue has been worked out with their current models.

The muffler came in and it fit perfectly with zero modifications. Also I was surprised how quiet it was with the sound arrestor. I haven't tried it with it off yet since I think it's perfect but it is definitely not deafening loud like some of the videos on Youtube.

Anyone looking for a muffler that sounds very mean and isn't too loud, I think the Pulse Chamber is a steal, esp with the option of removing the sound arrestor if you wish.

----- On to my SW chip question ------

EDIT: Steve has answered most of my questions.

I'll be getting a fabspeed cat by-pass. If anyone has any experience with this, that would be great. Or any other suggestions for a cat by-pass/premuffler.

Will the car noticeably smell like fuel if I remove the cat?

It varies a bit from car to car, but yeah, prepare for at least some fuel and unburned hydrocarbon smells and maybe... A lot.

Cat bypass + Pulse Chamber is gonna be LOUD.

Our Active Exhaust for SC/Carrera combines both of these components, Pre-muffler and performance bypass valve. You can use any final muffler you wish to get the sound level you want at idle and cruise. CARB Cat or Sport Cat are also options that replace the mini muffler giving you lots of choices.
