twist and twist and twist

went out to drive the 911 today ... put the key in the drivers door lock
and twist and twist and twist...
lock did not open
what happened ???
can the cylinder all of a sudden go bad???
help.............................................. ...........................please

see this thread -- i had same problem with my non-central-locking 911 and it was a relatively easy fix once I took the inner door card off to locate locking mechanism -- literally a single loose screw -- Door wont lock with key

Took the handle off ....
tightened the screw and it WORKS!!!
