Tried the NGK Irridium type plugs, no difference from Bosch Platinum.

NGK BP6ES is the correct heat range without resistance since the Beru connectors already have them.

Tried Bosch Platinum, car slow.
Put NGK back in, car fast. NGKs are like a buck fifty. Bosch Plats are something stupid like 4 bucks.

Just replaced the standard Bosch with NGK's. Didn't solve cold start problem, but runs great when it warms up!

Autolite 64 in mine, PO had them in when I bought the car and I did a search and a member tested a bunch of plugs and these seem to have the best heat range. It runs great with them and they are about 8.00 for a set. gapped at .060

Rick,
I'm glad to see someone took my advice regarding the Autolites. Right now I'm experimenting with the standard NGK's and so far as I can tell are just as good as the Autolites with the exception of costing twice as much. Regs, Joe Garcia 86 Carrera Redwood PCA since 1976 |

Yep, I once owned a '67 Corvette, 427 Hi-Perf, and the plug that ran best was Autolite AG32, maybe there's something to this. I'll give the Autolite a try, at Wal Mart about $2 per two pack.
