Weltmiester sway eccentric adjuster

This rather lovely vintage Weltmeister rear sway arrived today, from your side of the pond, via a forum member.
One of the cams has a bad thread, one is missing.(I knew this when purchasing)Stripping down for replating.
Do I try and trace a pair, of generic ones. or simply replace with plain bolts.Pros & cons please guys.

It needs to be an eccentric to allow adjustments of your rear suspension.

I damaged one (stripped threads) and had a machine shop make one. I am not sure if you can still get them new (call Pelican or Paragon parts) or will need to post a Want to Buy in the Wanted section.

Once the eccentric is used to set the camber, its job is basically done, because the camber setting is held with the two 14mm bolts on the spring plate, not by the adjuster. You don't actually need a nut on the backside of the adjuster to do the adjusting.

Using the connector as part of the sway bar drop link, though, means you don't want it loose, as that will introduce some slop into the sway bar system. But you can use a bolt, nut, washers, and a sleeve to substitute for this function of the adjuster.

Or just get a new one. I forget where I got some (the first one I had ended up with the alignment shop shearing off the allen bolt). Hadn't thought of having a machine shop just make one.

I suppose you could cut off the damaged threaded part, drill and tap where it was, and just use a bolt there, though. Should be less expensive, and something a guy could do at home without machine tools.
