Lowering my 1970T: Easy??

How easy is it to lower my 1970T? Will I need a re-alignment afterwards? Thanks for your reply...

If you're going to micro-manage your BBS, please enforce your rules consistently...I understand your concern about keeping OT posts in the OT bin, but how in the world can you make a judgement on whether it's "blatant" or not?....I've been a Pelican Parts customer many years now and suspending my account for a day is a bit childish, dont your think. It's like 3rd grade where you go in the corner for 5 minutes for throwing chaulk....thank you for your understanding.

Back to the original topic. Lowering the front is pretty easy, doing the back is a nightmare. Its all about getting the splines right on the torsion bars. If you have an early car and want to lower it, i think you will come out ahead if you invest in a set of adjustable spring plates and DIY. I have a 1970 T also and the once you get the adjustable ones you can raise and lower it to your taste.

If you do lower it, i would have the alignment checked at least.

It's actually not hard at all if you get an angle finder and use Wil Ferch's calculator. The real problem is "while your are there" syndrome.

what is the current ride height? I know "euro-spec", so I'm curious as to how low "I got banned so I signed up under an assumed name so I could complain" measures up.
