1978 911 SC center dash replace, remove cig lighter

I have a 1978 911 SC Targa. Someone broke into the car and ripped out the radio and in the process tore up the dash piece the surrounds the radio, heater controls ect. I have removed everything except the cigarette lighter. I need to remove it so I can replace the tore up dash trim. Could someone tell me how to remove the lighter?

Garage
Reach in from the trunk on the passenger side and turn counter clockwise while holding the center piece on the inside of the car.
Blower cover and upper vent ducting likely in the way for easy non contortionist access.

It looks like I will have to remove a few things to get to the lighter. Do you know what has to be removed?

Sorry to hear that. That really just sucks. Easiest way is to remove the front blower fan assembly, air box and ducting from the frunk and then you can reach it easily but it's a bit of work to pull all that stuff. Don't remove the cables for the vent slider/flapper controls if you can help it. They can be a real pain to reset if you let them loose from their pinch bolts.
