There were some kawasaki turboed bikes. Perhaps other makes too. Ralf Hartman, who has a 914, had one in his garage a few weeks back . . .

These guys should be able to help you out:

http://www.rbracing-rsr.com/

If you're at work, be careful where you click. They have some sneaky links in there.

FOUND THIS ON GOOGLE

' The KP31 with a 31 mm turbine wheel diameter is not only the smallest turbocharger of BorgWarner Turbo Systems, it is also the smallest turbocharger in serial production worldwide.'

Kawasaki did make a 750 turbo in the early 80s just before the 900 Ninja was introduced. I don't know if you can still find one around because most of owners either totaled them or killed themselves.

I can't find his web site but I know he posted to this list not too long ago. Among other things, he turbo a motorized bar stool. I bet that has a small turbo.

Apparently the Chevy Sprint used a turbo and intercooler suitable for motorcycle applications: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7911832988&category=33742

This may also be suitable: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7911980405&category=33742

Perhaps a search for these brands/models will bear some fruit.

Seems the IHI RHF3 turbo is the ticket.

"1235cc liquid-cooled dry-sump inline four-cylinder with intercooled turbocharger, 165hp"

sounds perfect for a caterham 7....

The darned "JetSki" weights 750lb, caterham wouldn't weigh much more and would have the advantage of efficient propulsion.

Transmission would have to be thought out...

sorry for the divergence.
