911 vs. 951 9" Fuchs

I have read a bunch of threads and I'm still confused.
I have a set of 9" X16" Fuchs.
One wheel has part number 951.362.11(8).
One wheel has part number 911.362.119

Both wheels are ET15
Both wheels have AS1062
Both wheels are date stamped 1987. One in week 14 and one in week 18.

What car would the 951 part number be from?
The wheels look absolutely identical.

Thanks. Don

(Yes, they will be for sale with a set of 7" fronts, date code from 82, as soon as I figure this out.)

Which date code is which? Part numbers may have been superseded.
I don't think the 9X16 ever came on any 944, but did come on the
'86 to '89 911 Turbo. They look like the 944 wheel (951) with the lug
bolts "countersunk", but that's a good question on the part numbers.

It gives you the dates and part numbers of the different sized Fuchs. As already stated, 9X16 Fuchs never came on a 951, in fact, when started offering the 9X16 Fuch, the 951 series had already switched to the late (53mm) offset.

Now the
Club Sport wheels available on the 944Turbo S and 928S4s were made by Fuchs. Picture below of 9X16 Club Sports by Fuchs.

Don't forget, 9X15 Fuchs were available in the 70s.

More irrelevant info, I confirmed the correct 9x16 Et15 Fuchs info which matchs 1 of the op's wheels, and identified the other part # as invalid and also provided the valid 951 wheel #s and descriptions, he obviously has a 9 and either 7 or 8 951 wheel . The 951 9 is ET60 part#928.362.119.30 or ET70 part #944.362.118.01 There was also a Telephone dial 9ET57 part # 951.362.118.10 and a design 90 9 ET52 part #928.362.118.02 but none of these are Fuchs 5 spoke wheels which was what the op asked about and so are irrelevant to the thread.

again the question was about Fuchs 9x16 ET15, the older 9x15 ET3 part # 911.331.012.05 is irrelevant and just muddies the water as far as answering the question

the only 951.***.***.** Fuchs were the 7 & 8's I posted, there are several other versions w/ different last 2 digits but they are just cosmetically different or from a different casting batch

Thanks, everyone. I've attached some pictures. Bill.. If there is no such thing as a 9", 951 wheel then this is an amazing reproduction. I've also attached a picture of the 911 part number. Do these make things more confusing? Thanks again.

Mistakes happen during manufacturing, obviously this is another example of one. I've seen this many times.

The wheel speaks for itself, it is identical to the correctly labeled one, it just has an erroneous ID.

For a given wheel spec only the last 2 digits change w/ cosmetics or casting batch differences.

Both of your 9s are 911.362.119 oe on late 930s

Thank you Bill. I guess I'm not shocked that the quality control at Fuchs and Porsche were suspect in the late 90's before the Japanese arrived. On that note are miss marked wheels, like old coins, worth lots more? LOL

If you want to compare to the other Fuchs for 911 here are some specs

overall edge to edge width of a 9, 246mm(~9.7"), ET15 all are 911.***.***
overall edge to edge width of an 8, 219mm(~8.7"), ET10.6 for 911 parts and 23.3 for 951 parts
overall edge to edge width of a 7, 194mm(~7.7")ET23.3 there are 911 versions and 951 versions the 951 versions have extra caliper room

all 951 have counter sunk lugs
