Engine Removal Checklist

Here is the checklist I use to remove the engine and transmission.

Will be starting the process today, to do a transmission swap.

This applies to an engine with carburetors. I do not need to remove the bumper, if i take the carbs off.

If you leave the fuel system attached, then the bumper has to come off, or you get the car higher off the ground.

Nice list, thank you for sharing.

FWIW, as they say in the manuals: "Installation is the reverse of the above."

(What happens if you don't use the bungee on the clutch pedal?
That step is not in the factory book.)

If you don’t bungee the clutch pedal, the helper springs snap it to the floor and the cable connection inside the tunnel may pop off. Which means you’ve added another task to the list.

Yes, reverse the process to install.

don`t worry too much about the clutch cable falling off it is held in place by clevis and secured.Just disconnect the cable at the clutch arm with Omega spring and let the cable slide-pedal to the floor board....

Additional missing steps.......

Do not forget to disconnect the delivery and return fuel lines. And the electrical connections to the 14-pin connector and main engine harness. And others.
