Same vacuum routing as Duane's. What is the WUR #? looks like a few 74 parts dropped in a 75. I wouldn't mind getting rid of my TPR in favor of this set up. Good thread guys. John.

My 75 was very original. No TPS on my motor.. It's an early 75 with the 4 bolt half shafts. I also wonder if CA delivery had anything to do with it? Mine was CA delivery with Thermal reactors, EGR, long airbox snout.

Duane et al,

Do you have a picture of your motor showing the passenger side (4-5-6) intake runners? Or anyone for that matter. Thanks.

There's nothing over there. Stock there was the EGR valve and tube coming up through the tin. I removed that and made my own aluminum bracket

The EGR bracket replacement:

Literally the only thing over on 4,5,6 is the intake runners, the ignition wires, and the fuel injectors/lines.

‘75 CIS documentation........

Duane,

I am trying to verify and compare the documentation from the CIS PRIMER people commonly used as reference in this forum with the actual engines people have.

The CIS PRIMER documentation states that ‘75 CIS engines have AAR and no AAV . That is contrary to what I found. Your motor is a good example and few others I have investigated.

Anybody who has ‘75 CIS motor to share please contribute. Does your ‘75 CIS motor have an AAR or not? Thanks for the pictures.

1975 cis.....

Al,

Thanks for the pictures. It clearly shows that the AAR (auxiliary air regulator) was not yet used or installed in this model year (‘75). Yet, the CIS PRIMER says there was AAR installed.

My 75 had the tpr. It was removed by a previous owner when the motor was rebuilt. The way it was piped i thought it would add fuel immediately before waiting for the throttle plate to rise which would aid throttle response.

Jim found the same difficulty as you in trying to document changes.
Jims CIS Primer does not say there was an AAR in 1975, just a switch in production to a vacuum WUR eliminating the TPR.

Porsches K-Jetronic Troubleshooting Guide is the only mention of Aux Air devices in a 1975.

In case anyone is interested, Porsche issued a couple TB's, 2/17/1981 and 4/15/1983 regarding replacement WUR's.
