if you need your heads rebuilt...he is the man.

The picture shows the valves sitting correctly in the seats. Too many heads get mis-cut during valve jobs leading to poor flow from recessed valve seats.

clean machine

the 75 2.7S is cleaning up nicely. This is just a stock 2.7S CIS engine....but they need a little love too!
Cams are timed.....so it should be on the test stand, next week. I still need to test the injectors, refurb the engine shroud, wiring harness....test the CIS system, etc......but getting close to......fire.....

It's a runner...still some tuning to do, checking the WUR etc...but plan to have it installed and back in the 75S tomorrow or so........even the stock ones are fun to build.

stay tuned

all is good in my little world....

It all turned out right in the end. The stock 2.7S is installed back into the 75......starts, runs, stops....no drips on the floor.....a good day...........

Nice work Al - I had Ollies do all my magnesium engine block inserts 12 years ago - and 60,000 miles later, no issues. Your engine work looks great. Glad it worked out well.

No, the debates continue...we'll need another 30-40 insert threads (no pun intended) to ensure that we gather every opinion out there. It would be interesting to hear what type of oil everyone recommends though...............

Throw in a tire/wheel size debate for good measure.......?

Rex,
good to hear from you.
Ollie's is definitely the place to go....I have a 2.2 to 2.5 engine rebuild in the works....my case has been at Ollie's for 2 months now and will likely be there for another month....really putting a crimp in the schedule.....

regards,
al
