1 left over part!! Help
1979 911SC
Well I completely took apart the car and put it back together. I have 1 left over part and it is driving me crazy trying to figure it out. It sure looks like it goes to the wiper fluid but I feel like I have the lines behind the dash going to the sprayers plumbed correctly. Can someone please give me an idea of where else this might go? ![]() |

Only one left over part....damn. good job!
It looks like it belongs to the washer system...possibly a tank pick up ...that hose looks much like the deleted headlight washer hose I had....I know you don't have them now but wonder if all of the SC's were factory plumbed ...

I just replaced all the washer lines on my 78 and id all but guarantee that's your right washer line that connects to the actual squirter.
That thing at the end is the check valve. There is a T check valve on the left one. Then the line runs down to the pump. Last edited by Solamar; 04-28-2020 at 05:08 PM.. |

If you feel like replacing all those yellowed lines, I bought new check valves from our host and new lines from Belmetric. Two sizes of lines, main line, then short sections of the next size up to lock all connections.

That last picture, you can barely see the blue arrow showing direction.
The darker hose, not the one in your finger, attaches directly to the nozzle Edit, that might not have been clear. The darker tube attached to the check valve attaches directly to the squirter Last edited by Solamar; 04-28-2020 at 06:19 PM.. |

I'll have access to my photos tomorrow, think I also started a new thread awhile back when I redid my hoses.
My washer reservoir had a nasty gelatin substance in it from old washer fluid that kept plugging up my system. |

I'm sure you've got it figured out, but this is the best photo I found of my lines. The top one goes to the two squirters -
