Why No Date Codes on These Fuchs?

Checked them all, no dates on any of them. They're more than likely original to the car, just want to confirm.

1 76. Could that be first week of 1976?

The car is an 88 and the sizes match what's supposed to be on the car. So I doubt they're from 76.

those are 15s. no reason to think they could not have been swapped somewhere along the life of the car. Im surpised an 88 would come with 15s but no surpise at all a 76 would. I would say there is a higher likely hood those wheels were manufactured in 76 and swapped than anything else.

The car originally came with 15's. The reason I want to know is, I'm either going to have these refinished or buy a set that's already done. If these are date coded to the car, I want to keep it that way.

Sticker on the car:

im not saying your car did not come with that size, i'm saying those could have been swapped with the originals somewhere along the way for some reason.

I would check mine for you but they are on the car. I just put them on too after running others for the spring. Perhaps someone else could check theirs. if the date format suggested in an earlier post is correct. Then these wheels were in fact built in 77.

Only way to know is to get a few more samples. if those numbers are completely different may not be a date code at all just some weight offset really. To me it makes no difference. They are original Fuchs, so finish em and slap em on.
All 4 wheel show that same code ?

Where is that sticker ?? in the engine bay ?

Date code is the mangled one in the second photo, 30th week of what looks like 87. So I would say they are original.

The other rear has the same hard to read 3087 on it.

The one front that's off the car only offers more confusion.
