I suspect john is not suggesting an after hours filmed thrill ride through a streetlight lit deserted city over bridges, yellow lines all while breaking every written traffic law in the book like your doppleganger that other walker guy... but something more along the lines of a test drive with the steering wheel factor foremost in mind. with radio off, shift just like sweet stump's 915 shifting video tutorial along with constant, light downward force on the wheel with the nut on hand tight. this allows one to make adjustments quickly in real time after pulling off to the side of the road and then retesting.

the OP can take it to an alignment shop and pay for an alignment he may not need and a steering wheel spline regrooving to do what can be done on a dedicated ride in the car. I just hope the horn works when the is straightened out, pun intended...

maybe a tech piece on installing the strip of yellow tape at 12 o'clock on one's steering wheel is in order? I did that on my jeep and damest thing is that every time I take it out the yellow strip is in a different spot no where near high noon by the time I exit the trail....

The proper way would be to:
1) center the steering rack and clamp it down with the steering wheel off;
2) insert the steering wheel on the splines, centered where you want it;
3) now insert the steering arms nominally centered with equal threads exposed on each side, bringing you close to your desired toe measurements;
4) lower the car onto a level floor, rolling it forward several feet to force any nominal toe out;
5) set up your strings parallel to the car centerline;
6) adjust toe in/out (I think the manuel says 0 toe, but at speed I think 1/32" toe-in on each front wheel is good;
7) un-clamp the steering rack.
