Cowl to fender seal - 2 width choices - why?
hi all, did some searching and found this thread front fender and cowl seals
Didn't see a specific answer to my question though... our host sells both 6.5MM and 4.3MM versions of fender to cowl seals. Is there a reason? My car is a 85 ROW coupe (which is FINALLY almost done being freshly painted, story for another day) and I'd like to replace as much old trim as possible. does it matter which one I use? I assume the difference is in depth (invisible below panels) as opposed to width (visible between panels)?? Thanks!

Ok so the measure is width across the panels not depth. Been advised to buy wider version.

You can use either one, but you'll find that one will fit better than the other depending on the fender to cowl gap you have. I use the wider versions in my early 911s...even though the thinner version is 'correct'....I just prefer how it covers the gap.
