Unknown Connector Help: 2 Pin - Violet & Black
I'm getting close to fully sorting out the wiring after removing the entire harness from my '85 Carrera. I can't for the life of me find a call-out in the Bentley or FSM for this connector. I can't even find a single reference to a violet wire! The harness comes in through the passenger side foot well and appears to want to terminate somewhere near the center of the dash...maybe.
What do the great forum minds think? ![]() |

Ignition switch assembly. For the “key in” buzzer circuit.
2 pins sticking out on the shaft.

This might be one of the most asked dash wiring questions as probably just about everyone has disabled that annoying buzzer and then the next owner finds it under the dash and where it connects is hidden away a bit on the ignition lock body.
Connect it up and then tomorrow you can disconnect it again!
