How do you remove the hazard light switch
I need to remove and re-install the headlight switch in my '73. It looks like it would be a whole lot easier if I got the hazard switch out of the way first. Since a replacement Hazard switch is $75, I'd like to see if I can get it out and back in without breaking it. Anybody know how?

I assume it's not the same than a 74? If by any chance it is you take it out towards you. first unplug the round connector, push the black tabs holding the switch to the dash from behind and you can pull it towards you

Based on the switch I found on PelicanParts, it looks like the same part, but I don’t see anything that looks like a round connector.

Wiring harness connector is round, slides onto the switch where all the terminals are.
Usually pretty tight fit, have to wiggle and pull it off. You can just make out the black plastic locking tab on the bottom right photo. (One on each side)

Don´t have my car here so I had to steal some pictures from google, the round connector and the switch when fully connected look like one piece but they´re actually two, like Dennis said they´re difficult to pull off so you have to wiggle them.
You can barely see them starting to separate on the first picture, second picture shows what it looks like disconnected ![]()
