Quantum Security System

Has anyone seen a Quantum Security System installed in an early 80's 911 SC? I purchased my 1980 Porsche 911 SC in October last year and it came with a Quantum security system. It doesn't appear to be factory, however it does look like it was installed at the dealer. My question is, it failed about 2 weeks ago by intermittently shutting the power off to the fuel pump. Now its completely failed and there's no power to fuel pump. If I spray starter fluid into the air cleaner it starts just for a few seconds. I also confirmed no power it at the fuel pump. Is there a way to bypass the security system or even better safely remove it? The manual has nothing in it about troubleshooting issues or removing it. Please help.

I have one similar to that in my 911. It failed, and it failed in the run mode. So it is just a blinking light and maybe has a very slight deterrent effect. I do however have a hidden switch that disables the fuel pump if I am parking in a open area like a motel or parking garage.

If the Quantum is anything like the Clifford alarms installed on many late 70's and 80's Porsche cars, there is a series of relays in the wiring scheme for fuel /ignition cutoff. Try pulling one or the other of the relays to see if it makes any difference.

“Poke around” the wiring by the red fuel pump relay in the front trunk and see if they cut any of those wires and attached the alarm wires to each of the cut ends and just remove those wires and splice the originals back together.
