Brake pad sensor out..but working?

Just took a better look at my breaks. Pads are 5.2 so lots of meat left.

Why would my sensor light work when it looks unplugged. And why would they do this?

Some of the newer pads use a different sensor, the sensor circuit goes off when the circuit is open, when it’s worn thru I think, I just replaced my front sensors when I did the pads with a different style

The sensor is a closed circuit until the rotor wears away the sensor and it breaks the circuit.

Thx guys. So I do have working sensors, just option A vs B he seems the 2 zip tied?
