Guards Red paint code ?

I am finally having my ducktail painted. My car is original paint, 1982 Guards red. Paint shop asked me to supply paint code.
Can anyone refresh my memory where on the car this is? Also, I have a Factory Guards Red touch-up bottle with the #s: 911 095 932 20 80 K. Is that the paint code #? Did Guards Red ever change?
Thanks,
Derek

You should be able to find it here. And on your car, look on the driver's side door jamb (hinge side).

Paint code for Guards Red in '82 was 027 - all 2.7 & SC models used this code but it changed for the 3.2 Carrera models & again for the Carrera 2/4.

Older models had their paint code on a plate on the driver's side door hinge panel - don't know whether the SC info was in the same place.

027 is correct. They should use that as a start, and color match from your old trunk lid or gas cap filler door from there.

When I had 027 mixed for my 84, it needed about 20% more of the orange pigment added to get in the ballpark. According to the guy that mixed my paint, there were several variations to Guards Red, even if its marked 027.

It should be easy anyway, but still make them color test before they paint your whole new piece the wrong shade...
