Fader switch/control wire colors
1984 Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera sunroof coupe.
The male 6 pin connector that plugs into the fader female 6 pin connector is long gone from my car, and I am trying to restore the proper operation of the original fader switch/control that is located in the center console. I now have a replacement 6 pin male plug with no wires attached yet. My question is does anyone know what each color wire in the original fader switch harness is? All four of my original speaker wires are present and labeled under the passenger side foot board and will easily reach the fader harness female connector, but I have no idea how to figure out which speaker wire connects to which of the six colored wirers that come from the fader switch. Thank you. |

On further inspection, I found the missing connector (with the wires clipped off) inside the access hole immediately in front of the center console. The PO must have left it there intentionally.
Thank you for your assistance. |
