Do I need them? /Clover-Mach 1 shelf enclosure
I'm using component speakers up front an under seat powered sub, and 2 pioneer 3" in the dash where the single speaker once resided. I'll be running the Kenwood BT amp and an audio control eq /dac (under the other seat).
I don't know if i want rear deck speakers, I've heard rear speakers were for passengers, but my passengers are little kids (which is why I'm not putting subs in the package shelf). If I do want speakers, I'm kinda lost, do I need to keep with the component type, or should I use 6x9's? Do 6x9's utilize x-overs to improve separation, no clue as to today's sound quality. What fits in the clover/Mach 1 enclosure? Anyone?

IMO, especially with your subwoofer, rear speakers won't really add anything to your setup and may well detract from the imaging you're already getting from your front speakers. I've been very satisfied with the sound I get out of my 2 channel system (component speakers with separate tweeters in doors driven by a vintage A/D/S powerplate amp under my passenger seat)

Thanks Darrin, is there an argument for rears? If so what would it be and what would you use?

I use a mach for rear speakers on a targa, so the added speakers with top off are a great addition
