Extending O2 Wire for header set up

Hello all, just installed the Fabspeed RSR headers and sport muffler kit on my 3.2.
Looks like i need to extend the O2 sensor wire quite a bit to get to the new location.
Anybody konw if there is a extension or a longer wire or just splice and make it longer? Anything to be aware of?

Does your sensor come with that typical old rubber plug?
If yes, then cut the line and enlarge using a simply wire with the same diameter and ... choose crimping for connecting the wire ends no soldering.
