Unknown part loose in engine bay

Tried on Renlist now to try here with all you gurus out there. Found a part floating around in engine bay while attempting fuel line exchange. Hopefully someone knows as last forum advice showed blitzed gearbox housing and image of similar part

Is the part threaded or is the interior smooth?

It almost looks like the spacer that goes under the throttle linkage in the 3.0 and 2.7 engines. I think those measurements are 37mm L, 13mm OD, 8mm ID.

Rear shock spacer in engine bay? That’s a nice idea however shocks I just removed were marked as originals from 1987 on my 88 Carrera. However I just found attached image of similar looking item, hopefully I’m not correct

spacer for the two shocks that hold the rear engine lid up ?

The spacers for the throttle plate are aluminum, and it is definitely not a wrist pin.
Of the suggestions so far i would think Icemans is the most plausable.
