CV joint tabs

Hi,

I have removed my inboard CV joints on my 84 3.2 and there were not any tab washers on the bolts.

Are these necessary?

The parts manual says that 4 are required, is this one on outboard and one on inboard on each drive shaft?

I don't see them on Pelican. They are needed and take 3 per side. You also need schnoor washers and new bolts.

The 8x50 bolts on an 84 do not require washers but are required to be 12.9 hardness
In the PET the locking plates are used on the 10x50 bolts on the 86 and later.
