Too low/Too wide wheel/ tire shape more square than round cross-section. Pick one or more. Can be massaged carefully back in place. Baseball bat against the tire for leverage or just a rubber hammer. Hopefully the paint didn't/doesn't crack.

What John just said.

And if you use a hot air gun to warm up the area (warm! not hot) the paint is more likely to survive. Good luck, I'm sure you'll be fine.

The paint is fairy new, so warming it with a heat gun should keep the paint from cracking. I use a wood bat. Don't forget to use the steering to place the tire-bat-fender in the ideal situation to lever the lip back in place. (The tighter the fit, the more control you'll have.)

As John implied, you've changed your front tires and or wheels. Therefore, it is going to happen again. You can change back or roll the front fenders or just repair when it happens again.

Google "fender roller". Maybe you can rent one or find a used one for sale? I used my bat to give me the extra space, but did crack my paint. I'd pony up for the tool, if I had to do it again.

I just baseball batted an M491. Same issue, too wide wheels. Gave them more roll for safety and cranked up the t bar adjustment 1 turn.

Check Craigslist. Guys with the fender roller tool advertise in the parts section here. They will come out and roll all your fenders while fixing that.

roll the fender lip.
maybe by a pro.
as you state the paint is "young" warming it up with feel is a key element.
with the fender rolle you a) will get it pack in shape and b) you'll go further rolling it avoiding this to happen again.

Just to show you what you are looking for. Maybe call some custom wheel shops. Guy charges $40.00 for the whole car.

Did quick search my area but did not come up with a hit, will keep searching.

Many thanks for the suggestion

i have a question..if you roll the fender with this tool ,which btw looks great..How do you after clean the area from dirt or leftover water to prevent rust??

In this OP case i`d use the bat....

I just ordered a "special" tool - will report on it this w/end after receipt/use.
(Not the roller shown - nor a Mickey Mantle signature bat)

Be aware that the Porsche Wheel Bolt pattern is unusual and most standard/universal attachment patterns will not fit properly.

The roller shown above is from Eastwood (https://www.eastwood.com/ew-fender-roller-w-instruction.html?reltype=2&parent_id=2826) and requires a special adapter (https://www.eastwood.com/fender-roller-adapter.html?reltype=2&parent_id=1286) to work with our cars. I have used it and it works great

Changing the wheels out of the question ?

Meaning this will happen again without rolling.

Not necessarily true. I had to roll my front fenders for exactly the same reason many years ago. Problem never came back.

ok Jason you never mentioned what size of tires are you using??I have on my 911 the front 8th offset rims with 205/55/16 and been driving it like this for 23 years plus never rolled the fender....the set up you can see on this pic...so i wonder why are you having this problem??The basic height of my front measurement is 61cm ground to the edge of the fender which is 24 inches..with half of the tank..just a basic info..

Yes, that's why I stated "without rolling" the fender.

205/55/16 on 7" rims (moved from rear to front)

ok Jason, that begs the questions why ..how are your front shocks , what is your alignment like, what is your height set up..again, as you can see my 911 has much bigger rims and i have no problems..
Can we see your 911 from the side ??basically your set up...

Exact same problem

I went into a gas station a little too hot, wheel turned and when i hit the bump, the tire "ripped" the fender.
As john said, too wide a wheel/tire combo, or too low. The factory has this all figured out - but when we change things, "stuff" happens.
Fortunately, it wasn't my dad's 911, it was just my old hot rod 308 - cranked up the front spring perches, re cornerweighted the car/aligned it and all is well.

Best of luck,
chris
