Polished Fuchs rims

Hi boys i want to get your opinions about Fuchs rims being polished.I know many will say there will be no protection and e.t.c.
Mind you it is my 2nd set of rims.I tried to remove the black paint and i came out nice but the last was a ***** and unfortunately it came off with the anodising stuff on it.
My plan is to have them polished from the beginning just did not know how shiny i should go.Now it is a Q...if it do it -kinds must now, would be the value of the set be much less polished or not.In case(most likely not) i will be selling them ?
1st pick is the 7th before and afte .2nd after 7th and 3rd is the look how it will lok after polishing.the 4th is the 8th which gave me a hard time...

thanx

Ivan
here is how it came out on 3 rims..

It's all a matter of taste, isn't it? I dislike polished anything, too shiny and too much trouble. That last picture of the mottled anodizing looks pretty cool, I like that a lot.

Personally I do not like full polished look, however I really like the silver/satin look. I removed the black paint on mine years ago and used a satin silver paint on what was the black petals, I did not do anything to the finish on the outer ring. I really like the look. I've never liked the black painted look of "normal" Fuchs. I've seen some factory wheels which were not black and they looked great. All personal opinion...value makes no difference to me, it's my car.

yes this is the direction i`m heading to.But 1st i have to remove all the paint. Then the rims will be un-anodised and after freshly anodised..so i can keep the look of the other 3 rims..

no polish..way too shiny

I'm not a fan of full polish, but I do like how the polished lips look on my car that I stayed with the look after all these years. I may be biased though.

So, after finding a guy in CZ -was not easy- he restores old motorcycles.i had the screw up rim by me ,gently glass blasted and it came out so nice ..i have a dilemma now;-)
here is the 8th glass blasted ..but how to protected the center ...oil, vax or clear mat paint?.... looks very nice....

next is the 8th just paint removed still anodised

and both 8th next to each other

My plan is still have them all send to a company where they will remove the anodising and after re anodised it again..

Personally I really like the lower right all silver matte finish but it would have to be protected somehow. Just my opinion. I also like the Fuchs with colored centers/non black paint. Is the lower right the result of bead blasting? I may look into that on my car.

i like it too but it is just glass blasted finish ..the options are paint clear mat finish over it or wax it..I made my decision. all rims will be sent to a factory to de-anodised and then anodised again..

i just found out that the 8th have only 7 kilos;-)..

what is strange that on this chart 3rd from bottom should have 8,6 kg..but they are both exactly 7,00 kilos...the number on them is 911 361 020 45 AS10 62

here is the chart
6 * 36 * 911.361.020.43 = 7.7 kgs
6 * 36 * 911.362.113.00 = 7.7 kgs
7 * 23 * 951.362.115.00 = 6.4 kgs
7 * 23 * 911.362.115.00 = 6.4 kgs
7 * 23 * 911.361.020.44 = 6.4 kgs
8 * 11 * 911.362.117.00 = 8.6 kgs
8 * 11 * 911.361.020.45 = 8.6 kgs
8 * 23 * 951.362.117.00 = 7.0 kgs
9 * 15 * 911.361.012.05 = 7.5 kgs

Ivan, what's the offset. Extra metal in the hub area for lower offset wheels may be the weight difference.

I will, they will be only anodised not clear coated. The anodising will take care of the surface solid protection -they told me at the factore where i will send them .Yup good point might send the hub caps too;-)it will have center mat finish and shiny rim....
Ivan
that begs the question what about the lug nuts....have to send them too;-)))
