Starting Circuit Trouble
Won't start, but the fuel pump runs. It looks like the FP and the starter are on the same circuit, so I assume my ignition switch works. So, perhaps there's a bad connection in that busy yellow wire somewhere. But where?

Nevermind. I recall hearing of someone who wiggled one of those square plugs and it fixed this problem. Fixed my problem too.

Hey guys, I have the same problem however, I have no idea what a "square plugs" means? HELP!

Utah, the yellow wire runs from the front of the car (at the big relay behind your fuel gauge), to the rear 14-pin connector. Then the engine-side 14-pin plug takes it the rest of the way to the starter. I'd check the 14-pin connector first, then start checking the area in the front (behind the gauges), and then on the starter itself.

Yep.. I'm w/ Colin on this one..
and sometimes an alarm starter kill gets plugged in between the "behind gauge" connection.. and the wire is usually a smaller diameter than the yellow........Ron

The thicker yellow wire (there are two) going to the starter should be gettng voltage when someone tries to run the starter. Naturally you would take care in this area because the BIG black wire is hot all the time. Voltage to the thicker yellow wire goes through the engine compartment. The engine compartment has two brown rectangular plugs.
