Not so weird color idea part 2.
Chucks gulf blue project got me thinking. What do you guys think about the same stripe scheme on the Gulf cars but in different colors? Something like this...
BTW do you know how long it takes to mask off a Hotwheel?? Never mind...I forgot who I was talkin to. ![]()

I've always though that if you start with a period specific Porsche color chart and just mix and match complements (bumpers, spoilers, stripes, etc.) it would be hard to go wrong.

I think that's a great way to do a stripe, except I'm not crazy about the way it 'curves in' in the front. The simpler, straight, stripe looks better, IMO.

I was attempting to emulate the gulf blue/orange cars. The stripe is the same just with different colors. I think the curve compliments the 911 body. Then again I spent 1/2 hour in my garage masking off a hotwheel...
