Non Running 1988 911 Need Help

I’m trying to help my friend get his 911 running that was stored not running over 20 years ago
This is what I’ve done so far
Replaced rusted out fuel tank and fuel pump
Replaced Fuel Filter
Replaced DME relay
Repaired ECU burned component not allowing fuel pump to run does run now on cranking
Confirmed all grounds on chassis and engine are good
Jumped pump and confirmed 35 lbs fuel pressure at fuel rail
Confirmed injectors are getting signal on crank with Noid lite
Motor runs on spray can through intake box or throttle body
Any help would really be appreciated
Thanks
Located in Sayreville NJ

Have you confirmed the injectors are actually spraying fuel?

No i have not been able to.
Another friend recommended i get a fuel injector tester made by OTC
Is there any other way to determine if they are squirting? Thanks much for your reply

You may want to post your location. Some one near by may have the stuff you need. Or be willing to lend a hand. Just saying.

Probably stuck injectors, eventually they will need to be removed and cleaned.

Get new o ring gaskets, a 10cc syringe will fit the input side, red tube from carb cleaner can fits small end, pressurise and click injector with 9v battery, tap injector and see if you can free it up and clean it.

If it fires on ether it is something fuel delivery related. Can you pull the injectors and clean them? Ultrasonic and/or chemically?

I also checked fuel pressure at the rail by jumping the pump and my gauge read 35 lbs
That was supposed to be correct , does that sound correct?

You can have 35lbs of fuel pressure and still have clogged injectors. Kind of like a kinked hose....no where to exit.

You can try cycling each injector with a 9v battery and some fuel injector cleaner. Otherwise just send them out to be cleaned. Your result with the noid light and starter fluid in the intake is basically a smoking gun.

The general opinion is the injectors are clogged and when I replaced the tank the gas was pretty bad so it makes sense the injectors are clogged. I’m not sure why this car was laid up my friends dad is getting up there in age and doesn’t remember what the issue was it was his car. When I replaced the tank and pump, the pump was seized and and tank completely rust filled the pump wouldn’t run w key. I jumped it and it worked, the ECU was defective and I had it repaired so the pump does run while cranking. I also replaced the DME relay just to start with a new one. I’m gonna pull the injectors and test and clean them and let you all know what happens.
I really really appreciate all the input thanks

Be sure to blow down the fuel lines as you will likely just clog up the injectors again if it's not squeaky clean. Get a few gas filters, you should replace one after startup. Rust never sleeps.

3.2 injectors are known to get stuck closed in cars sitting for prolonged times. Even w/o any contamination in the fuel lines the pintles have a tendency to glue to their seats. The regular DME signals with its short opening pulse plus reduced current holding phase isn't enough to get them going.

An easy way to shock them open is to use a 9V block battery. Another way that has worked for me on occasion was tapping them with a large screwdriver handle while an assistant was cranking (or the engine was idling on carb cleaner into the intake).

Thanks for all your help guys I pulled the injectors and built a little test rig with a spray can and some hose. I saw a pretty cool You Tube video and was able to get them to fire but they were definitely clogged. after getting them to fire they were shooting a straight stream of fuel so sent them to a specialty fuel injector service shop. The shop is called Southbay Fuel Injection in Merrick LI, NY. They did a fantastic job cleaning them flowed them before and after with a Dyno sheet included all for $130. I reinstalled them and the car fired right up. Car was sitting for 22 years and it’s smoking like crazy. I’ve heard that oil seeps into the exhaust after sitting for a long time on these engines and takes quite a while to burn off. Does that sound right to you guys?
Thanks very much for the help feels great seeing this car run after so many years
