Really dumb question
Okay, so the only really dumb questions are the ones you DON'T ask which results in you screwing up something really expensive.
Uhm, so where and how do I attach the chains from my hoist to lift a 911 engine high enough to get in on my workbench (unless someone's got a used yoke to sell or lend me)? Ducktail |
I'd either put it on a pallet and then hoist it, or just get a few friends and muscle it up there. They're not really that heavy with 3 or four guys.
|
There is a ring toward the back, on the top center of the case. It has no other purpose and I was told it is for lifting.
|
On the front I use the mustache bar/ engine mount bar and on the back the ring mentioned above.

you're right, that's a really dumb question....
(just kidding) :) |

Thanks gang. Don't have enough guys around to lift it. I found the "eye", but the "mustache bar" on back is missing (still on engine in car), so I have to figure something else. Tranny's not on, so I do need a back point. I'll check the mounting points for the mustache bar and see if I can't rig another "eye". Any other ideas, let me know.
