Oh yes he does! :)
Why are the anti-reversion chambers sitting so close to the valve?
The anti-reversion chambers are an old "trick" in the V8 community. There, however, they always place them after the collectors.
Took me a while before I found out why collectors are't that big of a deal among Porsche people!? :)
(that an ignition sequence of 120deg does't help that much in terms of scavenge effect)
Maybe that's why they're located there?
I made step headers for a WV, a long time ago, and the first "step" sat approximately where these A-Rs are located, So maybe it's to capture a certain puls ( number 2?)...
It's actually interesting what "Steve Wong can tell you" for the effect of the A-Rs increasing along with the amount of valve overlap.

Custom titanium interior parts going through first prototype phase. There is a complete set of pedals as well as different style floor boards – the one on the left is the more traditional circle dimple style, the one on the right is the one that will be going with our own horizontal pill shaped design, which we think is much better suited to the shapes of a 911.

These are being made custom for our project by good friend and titanium experts, Chasing J’s Automotive, located in Orange County, California.

These are just prototypes in a raw finish – you’ll have to wait ’til the final reveal to see the titanium color grade and what the final design looks like when installed in the car.

Good lord ... you had me @ titanium !!

Inside look of the best-in-class Wavetrac differential that is going into the transmission. We’ve used Wavetrac on several previous builds and they really are amazing.

Patrick Motorsports billet side cover for the shortened bellhousing G50 transmission to fit into our 911.

More stuff off to coating to get cerakoted – We’ve actually taken apart a Momo Prototypo Steering Wheel to have the spokes coated to match the rest of the trim + we will be wrapping it in a custom leather finish to match the interior.

https://csfrace.com/wp-content/uploa...383134580.jpeg

Also we just started on the custom roll bar that is being welded in-house by SV Auto.

CSF Cooling 05-24-2021 03:02 PM

We've made some more progress on the roll bar, but we still have a lot more to do. We can't wait to show you all the technical details of our design.

We've also started to fit and trim the StreetFighter LA fiberglass panels for the interior of the car.

What are you using for the black coating on the exterior of the gearbox and engine case. It's looks very nice. Thx

CSF Cooling 05-27-2021 10:43 AM

We’re using the previous ’79 chassis we had to mock-up the interior panels and roll bar. We’ve made more progress on the interior:

Got our stripped steering wheel back from getting the cerakote finish – now its off to Carbone Liveries in Poland to get wrapped, along with a couple other goodies.

Also got this picture from Kinsler. The ITB setup is almost complete – waiting for the drive-by wire (DBW) motors to be installed next.

It's a cerakote finish as well :)

Things are taking shape. :)

Months of meticulous body work has been completed by Perry’s Custom Metal including the custom front bumper, rear bumper, decklid, and duckbill. The team at SV Auto just finished up incorporating the one-of-a-kind 959 gas cap location into the aluminum hood.

Custom roll bar is almost done – includes a removable harness bar that can be quickly installed if the need for a harness arises. Dash is coming together and we’ve got mock-ups ready for the pedals/floorboards from Chasing Js.

Our drive-by wire ITB setup from Kinsler also just came in the mail. Ready for Rywire Motorsports Electronics to wire it up.

Personally, That harness cross bar looks too low. Will it pass a 20 deg harness angle test? Should be horizontal through seat harness holes (or tops of shoulders).

Great details in the build.

The DBW throttles are cool. But have a certain visual heft to them. curious how you sync L/R bank. On the drive motor or through SW (ECU)? Is that a duel fuel rail for return aesthetics or dual injectors?

The Motec M130 ECU syncs the banks exactly even. From there you can tune unevenly if needed. Every engine is different, so each cylinder may require different compensation to run the engine at its peak performance. The dual servo and dual tps gives the best possible tuning result.

The dual rails are actually not dual rails at all. 1 rail is for fuel delivery and the other is a vacuum manifold plenum giving the tuner the ability to run a “manifold” density sensor (aka map sensor).

We'll be posting up more pictures tomorrow - we got a lot of progress to share!

Maybe the best 911 build ever? Love what you guys are doing.
Rywire and Hytech some nice names in this build. Great job Ravi!!

Speaking of updates, when will Pelican get deliveries of your 8110 oil coolers? My order has been backdated for over six weeks now, when can I expect to have it?

We just got some back in stock - and we'll be shipping these out soon!

Last week was a big week, as we were able to start putting together our engine and transmission along with the new Kinsler ITB setup.

https://csfrace.com/wp-content/uploa...5270273184.jpg

We’re using a Porsche 996 GT3 plenum. We’ve modified it to fit a full Wiggins clamp assembly – shaving down all the unnecessary bosses and shortening the runners by 17mm each to accommodate the Wiggins weld ferrules. If you know anything about Wiggins clamps, you probably have only seen them in their signature purple finish – we were able to work with our plumbing and hose supplier, BMRS, who is a distributor of Wiggins, to get our clamps custom finished in black.

After the fabrication of the plenum, we’ve sent it out to first get polished and will be then sending it out to get cerakoted in our signature steel finish.

Full Kinsler assembly laid out.

https://csfrace.com/wp-content/uploa...5270319627.jpg

Transmission, engine, and ITB setup all installed and ready for Rywire to come in and start mocking up the wiring harness for the Motec M130 drive-by wire setup. The engine case, transmission, and underside of the car have all been finished in factory slate grey.

Foam cutout representing CSF’s new ’73 RSR front bumper oil cooler that Wie’ll be receiving the first prototypes of next week.

More updates coming next week on the interior – Stay tuned and have a great Fourth of July!

Some updates on the interior.

We’ve worked with Rogelio's Auto Upholstery in Baldwin Park on our builds before, so it was a no-brainer to bring them on board for our 911. We first enlisted the help of Steady Garage to create a rendering using our Sparco SPX seats, which we then used to bring our vision to life.

https://csfrace.com/wp-content/uploa...5872385932.jpg

Below are the materials we’ll be using for the upholstery – grey alcantara, grey leather, and Goyard bags that we will be pulling apart for the center portion of the seats.

A lot of fab work going down as we start to move towards assembly.

Another modern piece custom fitted for our car – this time a 991 GT3 titanium exhaust modified to fit our custom-made rear bumper.

Welded in-house by the team at SV Auto.

The custom roll bar we’ve shared before is now in its final stages.

https://csfrace.com/wp-content/uploa...978470704.jpeg

We also got centerlock adapters made by Stanceworks Garage in Costa Mesa, CA – they’ll be used on our custom Rotiform wheels.

Ryan from Rywire Motorsports Electronics on his second visit to SV Auto, mocking up fitment to make sure everything fits perfectly for our drive-by wire setup.

This build is becoming legendary. This may end up becoming one of the top builds of the year!

Keep it up!
