Help..Dansk oem to SSI's hitting bumper fit on 80 sc..

When I installed my engine back (3.0 SSI's 2 in 1 out dansk OEM new mounts)
The left engine bolt won't go all the way in the crossmember it's about 1/8 short.
Noticed the Dansk tail pipe hitting my lower valance and bumper, loosened all the
Muffler bolts and shaved a little bit on the valance and it's still hitting. I did searched
And some says the OEM tail pipe is meant for the early bumpers and some didn't have
a problem at all. What em I missing?

Solutions I'm thinking..
1. Is the Dansk Oem diff to Sport is just the tail pipe? 60mm vs 70mm.
Or it's internal as well? I'm asking if I can just cut the tail pipe and
Weld a 70mm pipe to gain the clearance. ( would that be same as sport).

2. Should I put a 1/8 or 1/4" spacers between the body mount and crossmember
To lower the engine a little to gain muffler clearance?
Or make a relief cut under the bumper but then the muffler is so tucked in there.

3. I don't really want to buck up for the Dansk sport if I don't have to ( my oem Dansk
Is brand new).
What you guys think?
I'm very curious on the Dansk sport and oem difference besides the tail pipe though.
I'm sure someone knows.

Thanks
Ogi
Here's a pic after install you can see the left side is lower, that's when the bolts are
Torque to specs.

Maybe it's a 73 and earlier muffler.

I had this same problem- paid a muffler shop to cut/move/weld the tip down and out.

If you search here, it’s a common problem. I don’t know why pelican can’t figure out which muffler is for which car. I even ordered mine on the phone with a sales rep to be sure, after reading the threads about poor fitment

Gotta order a '74 version for impact bumper cars with SSIs.
I have a Monty on my '69/3.0 and the tailpipe angles upward a bit and catches water, as well as looks a bit off. Going to cut and reposition it when I get a sec. Must have been a monday muffler, 'cause usually they're fine.

That's why our part number ends with an "E" for Early 911. MKM27 for the impact bumper cars, MKM27E for the early cars. KISS logic.

Hi Syncro

As many of you guys know , I work for JP group / SSI

and we just had a look at your problem

and what we can see is that you got the 92,210 that is for ealier cars

( now we dont know who advise you , or you bought it used etc )

But What you need is the model 92,211 !!! oem nr 91111102501 or Jp part nr 1620607900
that will fit spot on

we are also here on Pelican under the tread "SSI goes online"

or you can follow us on instagram SSIEXHAUST for latest news or if you got a question

Hope it helps

Stay safe

Marek

#2. a M12 diameter x 10mm long spacer, along with M12 x 110mm longer length bolts for the mounts will make it fit perfectly.
