Did all 911 SC 77-83 come into the US with smog pumps?

I was under the impression only those 911SC cars going thru California were delivered with smog pumps? Were they delivered that way or was it done at the dealer once they entered the US. I'm on the east coast and I've never seen one with a smog pump. Thanks in advance.

Just the '78-'79 SC's had smog pumps (all markets I believe). '80-'83 had three way cats and no smog pump.

For the CA market, '78-'79 had a special smog setup that included the smog pump as well as a CA specific computer and a EGR valve that required a CA specific intake manifold.

I'm not certain about the '74-'77 middies, but I think '74 was a good year, no cat and a good exhaust setup. '75-'77 had thermal reactors and smog pumps.

Fwiw, I have a 77 S that was delivered to West Virginia that never had thermal reactors, just collector headers

My '82 SC DOES NOT have a smog pump. It DOES have a catalytic converter.

80SC with catalytic converters and k-jetronics with lambda CIS. Car was in New York but had emissions sticker in engine compartment stated in met all California emission standards in 1980.

My '77S (all the '77s were nominally the S model) had no smog stuff. But it was a gray market car, and has an exemption for the smog stuff as long as it passes the exhaust air test.
