Can I Put An Early 2.0 into my '75
Right now I am tired of not driving my car and I have the 2.7 apart which will be done in the next six months.
Can I mate up a running 2.0 engine to my existing 915 just to drive the car? Thanks, as I am tired of the car not being on the road and it's been years. Thanks for all your advice. |

Yes. My ‘75 had a 2.2E on carbs in it when I bought it.

Thanks Matt - was it bolted up to the stock 915? I am versed in a lot, but I don't know what differences I would have to deal with regarding the bell housing/clutch if there are any.
I figured this would at least get me on my way until the 2.7 is done - which I am doing, but it's been so long on the project that I need to just drive it. I could care less about peak performance, and also it's better than putting a VW engine in it. ![]() |

The flywheel from the 2,7 and the 915 clutch package will permit trans to bolt up and work

Fuel pump needs changed or pressure reducing valve (with bypass to the return)
