Boge strut gland nut tool ? '86 - '89

do I need a special tool to secure these... or will channel locks do the trick ?

Much easier with a pipe wrench. Especially removal.

Agreed on the pipe wrench. A really big one makes short work of those gland nuts. The jaws will also bite into the metal really good. So protect the nut surface if the jaw marks will bother you.
