Missing Option Code?
Has anyone experienced having the an option on the car, but it doesn’t show up on the paper tag? I realize someone could have installed the option that would be complete after the fact. My Cruise Control installed on my car doesn’t have the code (454) listed. I’m wondering if someone else has seen this.

I think some options became standard equip.. Once they became standard no more codes were needed.

The frunk tag doesn’t show all options, mine has a group code and in order to break it down I ordered a report from vinalytics that showed everything including the vin for trans and engine.

Missing option codes
I have this document. It is barely helpful. Only the listing of Serial engine and trans codes, with 3 options on a highly optioned car. Any info on who you can speak with there? I am trying to resolve an issue on a Sonderwunsch car that has to date remained elusive. Any assistance would be appreciated. '86 M491 Cab. Thanks!

It is also possible that some options that the car did not originally have were added by a prior owner. For example my '87 3.2 has a steering wheel with extended hub (option 018). I know that's not original because I purchased and installed it.
While this is unlikely for cruise control, it is possible. |

Missing Option Codes
For two of the options a definite maybe, but for the rest, not possible... I have been told for Sonderwunsch cars they were pulled from production lines, as they were. This car is fairly well documented, 2 owners prior to me. Second owner for 33 years, serviced exclusively by one dealer, one year plus for original owner/purchaser, and coming on two for us. Besides paint L999, 33P Iris Blau Metallic, high speed window washers, and 2 antennas. One in windscreen, one on right fender (retractable). Matching numbers. 63700 miles. Frunk Paper tag shows only Turbo Look M491/Central Locking/Cruise Control... US C02 car. Plus other goodies... Possible dealer add for two items, as have pix of car at dealer (new) with these two prominent options... I wish Kardex was available. Oh well, where's the fun in that!

No sir, No Kardex for '86 and other years earlier, and later.
Shame...

85 and some 86s will just say C02 ( or Cali code)and not show option codes. Yet if you go look at what the dealer shows or have the orig paper work they will show up. It’s documented in some books. I chased this for a while with my own.
I have power seats, LSD, turbo seats, Front/Rear Wing, etc. It’s all on file on the dealers computers. Stickers show nothing.

I have thought this too as it makes sense. Yet was still listed on Porsches system.
