Dial gauge

I am trying to get my hands on a dial gauge, and i have found someone that sells some. But the problem is that i don't what specifically to look for, like stem size, gauge face size, and stuff like that. If someone has one and can throw me a clue i'd appreciate it.

For working on Porsches, you need a dial indicator with 1/2" range. The stem sizes are univeral i.e. it will fit in you "Z block". A tabbed back will allow you to mount the indicator to an indicator holder for other things like measuring brake rotor runout.
Here are some threads on indicators:
dial indicators, assembly lube questions

I don't know why. Maybe you can ask PP?
