What size socket is used to remove spark plugs from a 911 engine?

Mine uses a 13/16". If you have the factory tool kit, the spark plug wrench included in the kit is one of the best to your 911.

Gearwrench sells a magnetic one that I prefer over the factory tool - 3/8" Drive 6 Point 6" Magnetic Swivel Spark Plug Socket 13/16"

+1 for the Gearwrench magnetic swivel socket. Better than any of the Porsche tools.

I tried to use ratchet.........was a total PITA!

Went to my Porsche tool set, tried the tool supplied.......Absolutely amazing.

Have used it ever since.
