My 911 build thread
Good afternoon everyone. This build thread is long overdue
Here is where I started: FS: 1974 911 Non-Sunroof Coupe with '83 SC 3.0 Engine I have always wanted a bit of a hot rod look. fortunately for me the car has a 3.0L not the 2.7L however there is always room for improvement and I had intended to rebuilt to a 3.2SS. Below is my grand plan some of this is complete and some is yet to come Exterior All exterior trim has been powder coated black led headlights from Audette with JW Speaker bulbs tail light assemblies latches and strikers electroplated in nickel (doors, hood & engline lid) Renline engine lid hinges with lock engine lid grill Euro bumper tubes bumper accordian rubber pieces Drilled door handles W/O lock cylinders Interior both steering column bearings & bushings & "U" joints Zufenhousen steering wheel & extension Ignition switch headlight switch Turn signal switch with aluminum back dated stalk Wiper column switch with aluminum back dated stalk complete leather interior Renline backdated dash complete dash gauge restoration Porsche early bucket seats Chassis 930 front calipers - rebuilt (annodizing & cerakote) by Shaun @ Tru-6 Front rotors - Rotor & hat assemblies Rear rotors - 930 930 master cylinder 935 front suspension from Rebel racing 935 rear suspension - included but not installed rear control arms with new bearings & fresh powder coating - included but not installed Front RSR struts with coil overs Rear RSR shocks - included but not installed fuel pump complete fuel lines - made by Len (boxter GT) in tank fuel filter fuel accumulator modern fuse box elephant Engineering brass oil lines all other engine oil lines Oil sump cleaned, painted, certified by Pacific Oil cooler Renline engine & trans mounts Serpentine belt conversion Fan & shroud refinished by Shaun @ Tru-6 Last edited by Harpo; 09-01-2022 at 06:44 AM.. |

Here is where she is today. Front 935 suspension is installed with the bilstein RSR struts with coilovers. The hubs were powder coated with new bearings and races.

Here are my front 930 calipers back from tru-6. These were anodized black and all the hardware was Cerakoted in black. Fricking awesome.

Unfortunately, I need to sell my 911 and will be posting it for sale soon. I have been paying a local mechanic to finish the 930 brakes, new fuel lines amongst others. Not quite sure what the price will be yet

How is it that you got no replies on this thread? I dig the 930 calipers, would love to have them on my SC one day.

Yes, calipers are awesome.
Is the "in tank fuel filter" something that you installed or is it factory tank with filter? If you installed the filter, could you share some details?

Rennline backdated dash installed
My mechanic finished installing the Renn line backdated dash as well as the reupholstered dash top. New headlight, ignition, hazard, turn signal, wiper motor switches.

All of the gauges including the clock has been rebuild and backdated.
