Question Widest wheel under flared fenders?

I am putting 11" flares on the back and 9" flares on the front. What is the biggest fuchs I can go with (l X W) and which wheel spacers (what size) do I get? I want to go the biggest I can without rubbing or causing damage. Thanks

Well, they don't call them 9" and 11" for nothing. But, you can fit 12" in the rear easily enough. But I wouldn't go wider than 9" in front. 255 in front on 9" and 335 on 12" in back. Spacers depend on wheel offset. You can have some wheels made to the correct offset so spacers will be unnecessary.

The "Biggest" Fuchs made are the 9" by 16" that will already fit under a 74-89 car rear arch with no spacer. The fronts can handly a 7" standard or 8" off a 944 turbo rear. This is tight and about the max with a fuch. Obviously you looking for more wheel, which leaves you the remanufactured fuch centered ones or any number of aftermarket. If possible, I would resist spacers and get the wheel that fits by itself rather then trying to push the wheels out into the archs and widening the track.

I have 10 & 12" wheels under my GT racing 9&11" flares (they have actually started making the rears a little wider now). As stated the biggest you can get is 9x16 or 11x15 (I don't think you want to pay for 11x15s though). Then there is the tire isssue. The widest tire you can get in 16 is 265 or 275, both of wich work fine on a 9" wheel. They also work well on a 10" but nothing wider.

So if you are talking a street car with 16" wheels 8&9" Fuchs is all that really makes sense. I think You can still get a 315x15" tire but who wants 15" wheels? If you go to a 17" then you can do the 11" wheel with 315 tires. You will need a custom made wheel if you want a Fuch look though.

I am using slicks so 10&12" wide BBS wheel work well for me.

Here's an example of 255/315 tires under 9/11 flares with 17x9.5x11 wheels, which are two-piece wheels made with Fuchs centers. 12s would have fit easily in back, but I would have had to go to a 3-piece wheel.
