Tunerstudio logfiles
Hello,
I have an 911SC from 1980 and just converted it with the bitzracing EFI kit. Is there someone here that can help me with checking my logfiles to see if all is ok? Or can someone confirm that a registered tunerstudio can help with autotuning the bitzsystem or will the missing TPS give a problem? regards, Fred |

Are you having any issues or are you looking to cross check your work? If you screen shot and post here we can comment.
Yes, Tunerstudio should be able to autotune the Bitz kit. (There's nothing proprietary with the Bitz kit... It's just an MS1 ECU.) I'd recommend getting the MSII daughter card at some point and upgrade it so you have the larger VE/AFR tables.

Yes Fred, it is easy to add the MSII daughter board and I just happen to have a spare for sale. It's brand new, I paid $136 plus shipping, how does $85 including shipping sound ? PM me if interested.

The screenshots are a bit small to see, but if you want to upload the logfiles you can send them to me: flat6pilot@live.com
Send the log and the current tune file you're using and I'll take a look for you. Are you using a wideband O2 sensor to tune? This is really a must. If you followed the Bitz instructions and were able to get thing running relatively smoothing and the AFR's are within reason (~12 - 14.5) you should be ok to drive while you wait to give it a proper dyno tune.

Fred, a registered version lets you autotune. Tonys file will get you going but the rest is up to you. If all your gauges look right in tunerstudio, set auto tune to very easy for the first few drives when the car is warm. Try to get through the gears and up to speed but nothing silly. After you like the feel, change the setting to easy. After that, start smoothing some of the tables manually.

Fred,
In answer to the TPS question, The MAP sensor responds so well on the CIS engine that a TPS sensor is not needed. The MAP is on board the ECU and is fed vacuum through a small hose from the engine letting the computer know the engine load whether you are accelerating, decelerating or coasting along.
