Late first start
Been doing some interior work on my car, plus gauge restoration. So, I finished up the interior leather work today and installed the drivers seat. Thought, what the heck, I'm going to try starting her up. Eventhough, no gauges have been installed and the steering wheel has been remove. Guess what? After retiring the car early after a transmission rebuild late last summer because of a fluid leak at the shift shaft. So, the car started right up. What's unusual, is the was no smoke after sitting that long and the engine ran as smooth as a new Lexas. Well, not quite that smooth. But, it was smoother than any other time after sitting that long.
I usually, top off with 91 ethanol free and add Stabil for the last drive. The only thing different, I changed the fuel filter late last summer.
Wonder why no smoke?
