9" Fuchs
Help. Need advice. I just purchased a set of 9" Fuchs from a salvage yard. They cam off of a 72 911SC with fiberglass wide body flares. I brought them home to see if they would fit my 83SC coupe. The rims extend about 3/4 of an inch beyond my flares. Is this normal? It looks strange.
Something else that doesn't seem to match up is that the stamp on the inside of the wheel reads 7JX16. It may be that the wheels have been welded to get the 9 inchs??? However, there is no visible signs of a weld. Anyone have any ideas and is it ok for the tires to extend outside the flare? If anyone would post a picture of 9" on a rear of an 74 through 84 It would be most apprecaite. Fortunately, If the wheels don't work I can return them and get my money back. hi
you have bought welded up 9's. They will NOT fit your SC. The offset is made to fill out the fenders of a turbo or RSR style flared car . If they are in great condition, the value is between $900-1200 a pair |

Thanks for the help. I figured they had to be welded wheels. Why are they so valuable? If they can't be used on a SC then the demand is limited to RS or Wide body conversions.
