Rebuilding alternator - how do I get the back bearing out?

Is this Paris Rhône plastic piece a cap I remove and then press the rear bearing out? Can’t figure out how to remove this.

Thanks

Tapped it out with a 1” socket- it broke. Turns out my new slip rings come with a new one. Brilliant. (Used a vise to support the housing and very gentle tapping.

It's a tight fit but it should have come out without breaking. When reinstalling, make sure you fit the new plastic cap onto bearing race first, then push them together into the alt body. Do not try to insert the cap first as it would break again or be damaged when pushing the bearing in.
