Chris from Glasgow

Sorry everyone, i know this is off topic but i really can`t help it....

Hope you had a great day yesterday mate, we were driving at 80 mph on the M8 with the roof down on the 911 and a lovely Red white and blue flag blowing in the wind.

A great day indeed.

Here's one of my pics from my seat, before this gets moved to the off-topic forum!

Scottish Premier League
Last day of the season -
The league is decided on points. If they are equal, it then goes to best goal difference. Then if thats equal it goes to who scored the most goals over the season.
City rivals Rangers & Celtic equal on points with 1 game left. Same goal difference (total goals scored minus total goals conceded) over the whole season.
Rangers were ahead due to scoring 1 more goal over the season than Celtic.
Rangers at home to Dumfermline / Celtic away to Kilmarnock

Rangers win 6-1 / Celtic win 4-0

The tital is decided on goal difference (I believe for the 1st time ever), going to Rangers for a record 50th time.

phew...I think that covers it.

Do you follow football/soccer bell? Until recently we had the former U.S captain, Claudio Reyna, playing for us.

Keeping this Porsche related, have you decided where you're going to get the car serviced Rod?

No idea as to where to get it serviced tbh Chris, It looks like i`ll need to bite the bullet and maybe try Glenvargill.

I`ve heard of an independent guy in Rutherglen somewhere which i may research more when it`s time for a service.

Cheers

Rod

One of my favorite bartenders here in Dallas from a very cool Irish Pub (Lenny @ The Dubliner) explained the whole Ranger/Celtic thing to me one night over a few beers. Pretty intense rivalry.
BTW...he's got Celtic stuff all over his bar.

Chris and Rod--

Congratulations on the Rangers' win! I spent a week in Glasgow a couple of years ago (of a three-week trip of Wales/England/Scotland) My grandmother's from Paisley. The people were really friendly and we had a great time. On the same trip my son and I got to walk the pitch at Old Trafford. My second cousin's a ticket agent for Man U and got us in through one of the VPs. Hope you don't hold it against me. But keeping this on topic, how do you reconcile Porsche ownership with Scottish thrift?

Glasgow is an incredibly beautiful city in general. I remember having a romantic picnic with a beautiful lady under a sunset in Kelvingrove park. Miss those days..

Rod--i's a deal.

Dickster--Trafford had a certain presence, sort of like Fenway Park over here in Boston. A little homely from the outside, but a definite sense that it had seen some exciting events. What impressed me most was the engineering system of the turf--the heating and irrigation is lightyears ahead of what our best football and baseball stadiums over here have. I would guess that a soccer game with its constant running beats a field up much more than a baseball or football game, yet the Trafford pitch was immaculate.

Rod, Be careful of the Porsche place in Rutherglen. I know several people who complain the quote is ~always well UNDER the actual cost! Two guys I know each with RS replicas use a place on Maryhill Road called RPM that they like, but haven't used them myself.
