stock wheel size for an 84 911
I'm trying to interpret the PCA Club racing rules. What were the stock wheel sizes for an 84 911.
Thanks Tim |

6 & 7 x 15 with 185/70x15 (later changed to 195/65x15) & 215/60x15. As an option some had 6 & 7 x 16 with 205/55x16 & 225/50x16.

I believe 16x7/8 was a factory option and therefor considered standard. I don't recall seeing an '84 with 15" wheels.

Heheh, don't know if this will actually help or not, but I am pretty sure the available sizes were 15x7 and 15x8 (stock) and the 16x6 and 16x7 optional with 16x7 and 16x9 being the standard on the turbo.

16x8 Fuchs rears were only offered on the Carrera as standard equip. in 89.
Before that, the optional Fuchs 16's were 16x6 front and 16x7 rear for the 84 Carrera. The 84 Turbo Look came with 16x7 front and 16x8 rear As far as 15's, standard wheels were either 15x6 front, 15x7 rear 944-look phone dials or 15x7 front, 15x8 rear Fuchs.

Thanks for the info.
I think there was an option for 7 and 8's x 15 this would allow me to go with 8's and 9's and still be in stock F class. Thanks again Tim |

Stock '84 was 6&7x15 optwas 6&7x16, PCA allows you 1" extra width w/o penalty
For Stock class A - K Section 3 Wheelas and tires E. One inch wider than originally supplied wheel and any tire combination which fits inside the stock body without rubbing and without modification exceeding “rolling” or “grinding” of the outer fender lip is allowed. F. Wheel spacers are allowed for tire clearance only. The use of overly wide spacers which place higher than normal vertical loads on spindles and bearings is a safety hazard and will, therefore, not be allowed. For Prepared classes 3. Tires and Wheels - Wheels two inches wider than originally supplied and any tire combination which fits under the fender is allowed. Tires and wheels must comply with Stock rules 3A, 3B, 3C and 3D. For Super Classe-GTC 4. Tires and Wheels A. Any tire and wheel combination meeting the safety requirements of the PCA Club Racing Program technical inspectors is allowed. B. Tire and wheel package must be completely covered by the bodywork and have sufficient clearance to prevent rubbing which could be considered dangerous.

Tim,
F-class guys use Fikse FM10s with a custom offset to fit, 245/275 hoosiers.

Kinesis is well thought of as well, Here's a nice E class w/ Kinessis
![]() The difference besides appearance is o/s, Kinesis o/s is slightly different from Fikse, one may fit in your size better than the other. I found the Kinesis o/s to suit my car better than the Fikse in 8&9.5x17 others prefer Fikse. Do your h/w carefully.
