turn signal dimmer switch issue

So I just rushed through replacing the turn signal dimmer switch in my '81 911SC Targa. My wipers are in the off position but are going on and staying on unless I put downwards pressure on the wiper switch. Thoughts on what I did wrong or broke along the way ?

Since you’re able to turn the off at the stalk, I would say it is the switch. Other wise if the wipers are on all the time it would be in the motor “Internal Park Switch”. Check out the contacts on your wiper switch. They are exposed and operate the switch and see what’s going on.
