stock w/ track pads and performance fluid, Castrol SRF is the best), should be fine for most
+ .25 is change fronts to 24mm Carrera rotors and calipers

+2 change to 930

The primary concern is thermal capacity

Here's a comparison of the thermal indexs of various caliper/rotor combos

good fluid. good pads and cooling ducts to put air into the rotor eye.

I found Bill's "+.25" change to Carrera calipers and discs to be all I needed on my somewhat aggressively tracked '72. I ran the aluminum "S" calipers for years, but found when running slicks I had enough grip to somewhat overheat them on warmer days. The pedal would go soft, and it felt almost as if I could feel those aluminum calipers spreading. Not the case, of course, but certainly the feel. The Carrera "wide A" calipers and discs solved the problem and have proven to be all I need. This is in a 2,200 pound car with about 250 horsepower motivating it and, like I said, driven aggressively on the track.

I will also agree with Bill's wisdom. On a light car, the Carrera brake components are all that you need. Upgrade to SRF brake fluid, good pads, and add the 993 air deflectors to get some air to the rotors. Use the money you saved for track time.

+2...or 3... Carrera brakes on my 2400 lbs, 245 hp car work just fine.
